The Big French House
The gateway leads into the gravel courtyard, providing parking for up to six cars. You enter the house through a large lobby/porch where wood, wet clothes and shoes can be stored.
Downstairs
There is a large kitchen containing a six ring gas cooker with double oven, an electric, four ring, halogen cooker, a fridge and a larger fridge freezer. This leads out to the hall and into the downstairs bathroom where there is also a combined washing machine and tumble dryer.
Off the hall is the refectory-sitting room containing 1 triple sofa, 2 double sofas, 2 armchairs, 2 Captain's chairs two 2.5 meter oak refectory tables with sufficient seating for 12 or more.
Sleeping Accommodation
The bedrooms are arranged as follows:
La Grande Salle (large family room): 1 double bed (king size); 1 single bed; 1 bunk bed, sleeps up to 5.
Double bedroom: (adjacent to la Grande Salle) 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed-could sleep four.
The middle floor bathroom is doubly ensuite to this bedroom and..
Bedroom 3: 1 double bed (sleeps two).
La Cellule des Moines (monks cell): 1 bunk bed (sleeps two). There is also a baby's travel cot.
Le Grenier: the third floor is capable of sleeping a further five - children or adults. On this floor there is a bathroom, a chambre de palier (a small landing room containing 2 single beds).
